ZuluPad for storing personal data

I've been using this neat app for storing frequently used sites and senstitive data. Since you don't really want to keep your senstitive passwords stored in Firefox (cause thats where crackers will look), you need to store them somewhere else that is trusted.
Features:
  • Plain text, no frills display
  • Instant link creation, kind of like a wiki
  • Runs from a thumb drive uninstalled

Funny Thread.... on My-symbian.com - Moderater gets pissed!

This thread gets a bit funny... A guy asks if he should buy the P990, and the forum moderator flips out and locks the thread after working through 3 different closing posts. He obviously takes this his appointment seriously after lambasting forum “newbies”. I got nothing against this guy but it’s funny to see an administrator’s with a God Complex.

As far as what he says:

But you don't have any right to judge other people's opinions about their phones like that and say that they're unfair or dishonest, just because they're different than what you think.”

Um, yes we do have the right to judge your opinion. If you don’t mention your phone is “VERY STABLE” AFTER your firmware upgrade, which I read that you did, then you are not giving this guy a fair answer – in fact the reason we bring it up is cause it may be biased. And as father of the forum, you have no excuse not knowing what the general reaction to the phone is and taking that into account in your answer…. unless you are in fact a cheerleader. If you were to say, “after a firmware upgrade, I find it VERY STABLE”, you would be giving much more useful info. Most people expect their phone to work out of the box. Instead, you come off as biased, and thus got lambasted.

The other funny think is he thinks the two or 3 responders are the same person, cause they have the same opinion.

Hey Google, we don't want you to save our search results

Saving search results is just a bad idea. As we have seen with the AOL mistake, it's just going to come back and bite people in the butt. At the very least, Google, give me the option to remove any reference to saved search results. I know you can turn it off, but just keep it out of my sight.

Nice download meter

BitMeter 2 is a bandwidth meter, it allows you to visually monitor your internet connection by displaying a scrolling graph that shows your upload and download speed over time. BitMeter is freeware - ie. it is given away completely free of charge, there is no trial period, no time-limited features, no spyware, and no adware, guaranteed.

Have given this a try, and have to say it is as good as NetMeter which required a crack.

Pissed at my P990

I discovored the phone is really fast and reliable - in flight mode. I think it may be having a hard time with the 802.11b. The worst part of the day was getting a call, the phone locking up as I try to answer it.. while it rings away and I am helpless to do anything... argh. Not giving up on you yet little guy.

Photos from the P990

A couple of photos from the new P990, set to 1600x1200 and the fine setting. Not too bad, but SE should have the 3.2 megapix on this phone. The functionality is similar to current SE phones. One thing different is the led light now turns on when the photo button is pressed, not constatnly on like with the k750. The reponse time is also faster than the k750. Press the button half way to focus, and all the way to snap the shot.

FINALLY got my SE p990

Man. They sure took their time getting it out, but I'm finally in possession of my SonyEricsson P990. Paid $1,100 for the honor, but given that my cash has been sitting in the bank earning interest for this purchase, it’s a bit cheaper. As I said, it’s still in the charger, but out of the box, man… lookin sweet. Right up there with Apple packaging. It has a dock, like all the other’s in the P series, and 3 separate connectors for charger, computer, and headphones. I can’t wait to try out the RSS feeds, but for now I ‘ve got to give the battery a full charge.
